T-Level Industry Placements

We are here to help you to start building employer engagement capacity today!

In September 2020, the government launched T Levels: a new qualification for students aged 16 to 19 who’ve finished GCSEs. They will sit alongside A levels and apprenticeships to give young people the technical and practical skills needed to be an asset in the workplace. T Levels will combine classroom learning with a substantial industry placement.

Two thirds of employers rate work experience as being of significant or critical value for young entrants to the labour market and half of employers believe a top priority for schools and colleges should be developing awareness of working life with support from businesses. (DfE 13.11.17)

We are on hand to deliver placements for students on vocational and technical study programmes at levels one to three.

With over a decades direct experience in offering work placements and work experience to schools, colleges and academies we can deliver T-Level work placements that are:

  • On average 50 working days (45 to 60 days), covering a minimum of 315 hours,
  • Occupational specific & focused on developing practical and technical skills
  • Taking place with an external employer providing the student experiences a real life job role
  • Delivered to a structured work plan
  • Adequately supervised, and
  • Offering learning aims agreed at the start of the work placement between the institution/employer/student and monitor progress throughout by actual site visits

Case Study

We are working with one school in Northamptonshire called Weavers Academy. We are delivering Industry Placements for their Media students of 50+ days. We have enlisted the support of some excellent organisations, we have scheduled regular visits to the students, created a online hub to allow the capture and storage of evidence (written, typed, pictured and Recorded) and helped create a structured plan of action and delivery.
